If the workers of FIAT were to accept these conditions there will still be a plant that will close: one of Tychy. It 'obvious that the problem of working in a global market, has an international dimension. They are just a few workers at Tychy remember, in a heartfelt letter that they sent to colleagues Pomigliano and we will quote in full:
"Fiat play very dirty with the workers. When the production moved here in Poland we were told that if we worked hard and exceeded all the limits of production we kept our jobs and would have created the high. And we did it in Tychy. The factory is today the largest and most productive in Europe and are not allowed grievances to the administration (except when the unions demanded some bonus for employees more productive, or bargain over the weekend shifts).
At one point late last year began to spread the word that the Fiat had plans to shift production again in Italy. From that moment on Tychy has dropped terror. Fiat Poland thinks he can make us what he wants. Last year, for example, has paid only 40% of the bonus, although we had exceeded all production records.
They think that people do not fight for fear of losing their jobs. But we are really angry. The third "Day of Protest" of workers in Tychy scheduled for June 17 will not be raised as last year.
What we now have to lose?
Now they are asking the Italian workers to accept worse conditions as they do each time. Who works to understand that if they do not accept someone else's work as slaves is willing to do it for them. Take for granted the broken backs of our Italian colleagues, just as they did with ours.
These days we have been hoping that the unions in Italy to fight. Not for us to keep our work in Tychy, but to show that there are workers at the FIAT willing to stand on their own terms. Our union, our employees have been weak. We had the feeling of not being able to fight, to be too poor. We prayed for each job. We just left the Italian workers taking their jobs, and now we are in the same situation.
